J. W. "BILL" WADE
Bill Wade recently retired from his position as
Superintendent, National Park Service, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, where he
specialized in employee and organizational development, creating value for their
customers. He was featured in the "award winning" video program "Legendary
Service" as a model leader.
With over 2000 hours of classroom and field
teaching experience in a variety of subjects, Bill has provided training to a number
organizations all over the world. His expertise is backed by more than 17 years of line
management experience, and 15 years experience in Board of Director and Officer positions.
Bill is co-developer of many successful
courses including the public sector version of the "best selling" programs,
"Frontline Service" and
"Service Leadership" (see our "products"
link).
He has co-authored articles and current text books.
Bill has had 25 years experience in search
and rescue and has been a member of National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR)
since 1973. Since that time, he has been a Board Member for a total of 11 years. He has
served as Vice President for Education for 8 years and Conference Coordinator for 5 years.
He has been involved in a variety of other committees and projects. He received the Hal
Foss Award, the NASAR Service Award, the NASAR State Award, and is a Fellow of the
Association.
Bill holds a bachelor's degree in business
administration and biological sciences from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado.
